A Rational Assessment of the Failure of the Republic

In the war of 1812, a consortium of New England States planned to succeed from the union over Mr. Madison's conduct of the war (such as the invasions of Canada), they came within one vote of doing so. No one of note even suggested the use of military force to stop them from leaving the union. You see, the founding was too recent in 1812 and everyone understood that there was no way the 13 colonies would have signed on to a non-voluntary union and under the 10th Amendment, it is not an enumerated power of the federal government to maintain the union by military force, however, it is a power reserved to the states to leave the union if the union failed to support what was best for the individual states. Lincoln was a liar. It was this arrogant imperialism in our federal government that destroyed the Republic and was then followed by the 17th Amendment of 1913, both actions created the overly and unconstitutionally empowered the central government to dominate the muted states and thus the people. This was followed by foreign war after foreign war, income tax to fund a large government bureaucracy and the largest standing military in the world. In the meantime, you are now becoming ever more so, non-represented tax slaves of a non-controllable beast currently lead by an illegit, criminal regime. Pick up some history books.......learn.
